Cronut {Donut and/or Croissant?}

Puh... da kommt also einiges zusammen.

eure Amaribe

There it sizzles, the new trend from the USA, called Cronut. It's a calorie bomb that can satisfy an adult half a day long (at least in terms of calories). No wonder, one Cronut is made from the dough of three croissants, which are then deep fried. Even croissants have a lot of calories and they are usually not fried, only baked in the oven. All this is topped with a filling, an icing and some sugar. Phew ... that sounds crazy.

So if you are not totally shocked by now you can easily bake this calorie bomb at home. Only watch the video at the end of this post, and you're set.

In this sense have a great day!
Your Amaribe

And here is the recipe. It is basically so simple that you do not even need a recipe list. All you need are Knack & Back croissants and a lot of oil for frying.

NOTICE: The oil for frying should not be too hot otherwise the Cronut will brun from the outside but will be still raw from the inside (that's why they use a thermometer in the video). After all, it is a large amount of dough, which needs a good time to until it's done.
